1. Who we are

BookBnB (https://bookbnb.co.uk) provides tools that help UK short-term rental hosts create commission-free direct booking websites from their existing Airbnb listings. The data controller for the information you provide through the BookBnB platform is BookBnB, reachable at hello@bookbnb.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

We collect the information you give us when you create an account, import a listing, connect a custom domain, subscribe to a plan, contact support or make a booking enquiry. This may include your name, email address, property details, photographs, pricing, calendar data, payment information and correspondence.

We also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, to keep the service secure and to understand how hosts and guests use BookBnB.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Create and host your direct booking website
  • Process subscriptions, add-on purchases and guest payments
  • Sync calendars and publish availability
  • Send booking confirmations, support messages and service updates
  • Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
  • Improve and support the BookBnB platform

4. Legal basis for processing

Under UK data protection law, we process your data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because you have consented (for example to marketing emails), because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing our service, or because we are required to comply with a legal obligation.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run BookBnB:

  • Stripe — to process subscription and guest card payments.
  • Lovable Cloud / Supabase — to host the application, store data and authenticate users.
  • Resend — to send transactional and support emails.

These providers act as processors under contract and are only permitted to use your data for the purpose of providing services to BookBnB.

6. International transfers

Some of our processors operate outside the UK. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as you have a BookBnB account. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless we are required by law to keep it for longer (for example for tax or legal dispute purposes).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can update most information from your host dashboard. For other requests, contact us at hello@bookbnb.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

BookBnB uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of BookBnB after changes means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please email us at hello@bookbnb.co.uk.
